I had the implant surgery in April of this year, finally! It has been 3 months since the surgery. The pain is gone and I have much more movement in my wrist. My surgeon has given me the go ahead to get back on my motorcycle, but to take it easy for a while yet.
I am adhering to the 20lb weight limit, but am almost back to normal activity with little or no pain. My hand therapist sees no reason why I cannot obtain almost full functionality in my wrist with a bit more work. I will update details in a few more months.....

I had the surgery 3 weeks ago after many bureaucratic delays. The cast and stitches were removed yesterday. Even without physio, I have noticed a difference. My surgeon has prescribed just manual manipulation of the joint until my next appointment in 3 weeks. I already feel optimistic.

Hello Aptis Community - My wife has had 3 surgeries in last year to deal with Madelungs deformity turning into pain rapidly within last 2 years. Still having a lot of pain even while at rest, post Sauve Kapanji procedure. I am wondering if anyone would be willing to share there experience, if you have had either (A) Madelungs with other failed procedures (b) Madelungs with the Schecker as first procedure.
My email is or if you want to reply here would appreciate
Thank you
